Our Story: Born in Bhubaneswar to Democratize Indian Publishing
In 2021, PustakInk began with a single painful realization: aspiring Indian authors were trapped in an unfair system. You conceived, researched, and authored the book. You retain absolute ownership of all copyright, film options, audiobook adaptation rights, and translation rights. PustakInk acts purely as your production and distribution partner. You are free to unpublish, reprint, or transfer your book at any time without legal obstruction.
2. Transparent 2-Tier Royalties With Zero Concealed Deductions
Unlike traditional houses offering 5–7% bi-annually or vanity presses withholding sales proceeds behind confusing deductions, PustakInk implements a transparent 2-tier model: up to 20% royalty on the first 30 orders, boosting to up to 30% thereafter on print sales, plus 70% net royalty on digital/eBook editions.
3. Rapid 15–20 Working Days Turnaround
Authors should never have to wait 6 to 12 months in the dark wondering when their book will see the light of day. Our milestone-driven production timeline typically completes full publication — from editorial check and cover wrap to ISBN allotment and marketplace listing — within approximately 15–20 working days after receiving the required manuscript, information, payment and timely author approvals.
4. Zero Blind Printing: Mandatory Author Proof Approval
We believe in zero surprises. No book is commercially printed, bound, or shipped to retail distribution without the author examining the final digital master proof, inspecting chapter alignments, and providing explicit 1-click clearance inside their Author Dashboard.
